ASSA ABLOY has acquired Lawrence Doors, a US-based manufacturer of coiling steel doors, grilles, and counter shutters. This strategic move strengthens ASSA ABLOY’s position in mature markets.

The acquisition enables ASSA ABLOY to enter the growing coiling steel market and establish a strong presence on the US West Coast. “With Lawrence Doors, we will better serve our dealers and customers, equipped with expertise and a robust product portfolio,” added Massimo Grassi, Executive Vice President, ASSA ABLOY, and Head of Entrance Systems Division.
Lawrence Doors, founded in 1925, employs around 120 people, with its main office and factory in Baldwin Park, California. The company will join ASSA ABLOY’s Entrance Systems Division, Business Segment Residential.
