TONAB Architecture PLLC recently completed a major renovation project at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). As the Design Architect of Record, TONAB led the rehabilitation and office fit-out of Building 111, which houses the JFK Redevelopment Program, construction management, and program management teams.
The 188,000-square-foot, three-story building, originally constructed in 1948, has been restored to continue operating as a productive office facility. TONAB seamlessly integrated the office fit-out space with the overall aesthetic of the airport’s new terminal building, creating a harmonious blend of functionality and style.
The project showcases TONAB’s expertise in creating functional, aesthetic, and innovative work environments. The renovation was performed by a team assembled by TONAB, including IN-SITE Interior Design, Sabir Richardson & Weisberg Engineering (SRW), and Celin Munoz Consulting Engineer (CMCE). The project met and exceeded the goals of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ).
