Spark & Bell, a certified B Corp lighting studio, has launched the “Seraphín” chandelier, a modular three-tiered showpiece made from its unique “Jewel” recycled plastic. Designed by founder Emer Gillespie, the light is the studio’s most opulent piece to date, designed for commercial interiors.
The “Seraphín” chandelier features crystalline drops made from recycled plastic, giving an ethereal quality to its cascading design. The light is available in one, two, and three-tiered options, allowing designers to adapt it to different spaces. Each piece is made-to-order, with a maximum diameter of 570mm and 850mm height.
The “Jewel” recycled plastic is made in-house from CD cases saved from landfill. With over 120 CD cases in each three-tier chandelier, “Seraphín” keeps over eight kilograms of plastic from going to waste. The light comes in two colours and is fabricated in the UK with locally sourced metal components.
Emer Gillespie, studio founder and designer, said, “We’ve designed the “Seraphín” chandelier to be a statement piece that stays true to our mentality of responsible material use and enduring quality.”
