As part of its ‘Time off for Volunteering Policy’, K Raheja Corp, a leading Indian real estate conglomerate, recently hosted an employee volunteering activity called ‘ArtShala – Paint a School’. This initiative brought together employees from across its businesses, including Mindspace Business Parks REIT, K Raheja Corp Homes, Chalet Hotels and Inorbit Mall, according to a press release.
In partnership with ConnectFor, a volunteering platform, the program aimed to refurbish classrooms and corridors of Nadkarni Park MPS School in Mumbai. Over 40 employees of K Raheja Corp participated in the activity, transforming the school’s classrooms and corridor walls into vibrant canvases of artistic expression. The volunteers also engaged with the children and distributed stationery kits to them.
Urvi Aradhya, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), K Raheja Corp, said, “At K Raheja Corp, we believe in giving back to the community and creating a positive impact through our initiatives. ‘ArtShala – Paint a School’ was a perfect blend of creativity, community service, and employee engagement.”
Gargi Modi, Project Director, ConnectFor, added, “We were thrilled to collaborate with K Raheja Corp for ‘ArtShala – Paint a School.’ Initiatives like these not only bring joy to children but also enhance the quality of education.”
The children who participated in the activity were thrilled with the experience. Shwetha and Arati, two excited students, said, “It’s so nice to meet so many didi’s and bhaiya’s who have come here to paint our school. We painted with them, and we had so much fun together.”
By empowering its employees to give back to the community, K Raheja Corp has demonstrated its core values of social responsibility and employee well-being.
