The GITAM School of Architecture has launched the “By the Bay 2025” programme on Beach Road in Visakhapatnam, aiming to inspire future architects and engage the community in creative and immersive architectural experiences.
Designed to break away from traditional classroom learning, the initiative involves students, parents, and the public in interactive activities that showcase the possibilities within the field of architecture.
As part of the event, architecture students demonstrated their skills by creating sketches on canvas and guiding participants on how to translate their thoughts into art. This hands-on experience proved to be enriching for learners and faculty alike.
Highlighting the programme’s goals, GITAM School of Architecture Dean, Vibhuti Sachdev, said, “We are excited to engage with the community and share our passion for architecture. This initiative aims to motivate young minds to explore architecture as a career path.”
Following last year’s successful charcoal activity at Coco Arena, this year’s programme will include four unique events held over four Sundays, furthering the school’s efforts to inspire and educate through creativity.
