Bangladesh Institute of Architects Expands Globally with First Canadian Chapter

The Institute of Architects, Bangladesh (IAB) has marked a significant milestone by expanding into Canada with the establishment of its inaugural international chapter.

This event signifies a pivotal moment in the organization’s history, underscoring its dedication to fostering global cooperation and advancing architectural innovation.

Held recently,the occasion brought together guest speakers, presenters, architects, and industry partners from both Bangladesh and Canada.

This collaboration between Bangladesh and Canada, united by a shared pursuit of architectural excellence, opens up new avenues for creative exchange and mutual learning among professionals.

The event featured greetings from esteemed figures such as Settimo Vilardi, president of the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA), and video messages from Dr. Khandakar Shabbir Ahmed, president of the Institute of Architects, Bangladesh, as well as renowned architect Marina Tabassum from Bangladesh.

In addition to engaging discussions and presentations, the event served as a platform for nurturing partnerships and collaborations among architects, industry professionals, and academic institutions.

The establishment of IAB’s inaugural international chapter in Canada marks a significant stride in the organization’s mission to champion architectural excellence and cultivate global alliances.
