As part of its CSR initiatives, Classic Marble Company (CMC) has instituted a modern computer lab for the tribal girls of Balwatika Society in Dadra and Nagar Haveli. A one-of-its-kind facility in the entire rural belt of DNH, the lab was inaugurated on Sunday, 6 March 2022 by CMCโs Director, Mr K M Swamy. Launched two days ahead of International Womenโs Day, the lab will benefit 160 girls from Classes 1 to 12 in basic and advanced computer skills. Alan George Joseph, alumni of Avani Institute of Design, Kozhikode has won the Council of Architecture (COA) National Awards for Excellence in Architectural Thesis 2021. The final year Thesis was titled โPunarjeevanamโ โ Regeneration of the indigenous tribes in Wayanad, through a locally sourced participatory design approach.
