Jamshri Realty, a leading real estate developer with a diversified portfolio spanning mixed‑use developments and hospitality, has successfully implemented its innovative Clean‑Living‑as‑a‑Service (CLaaS) model at Jamshri City, a 15‑acre integrated lifestyle district in Solapur. By embedding sustainability as a core urban service, the project delivers a net‑positive ecosystem that benefits both residents and the environment, setting a new benchmark for future‑ready urban developments in India. At Jamshri City, the CLaaS model integrates clean water, clean energy, and clean food to create a regenerative, self‑sustaining urban ecosystem. Water security is achieved through the restoration of a 200‑foot heritage well, more than 30 groundwater recharge bores, and over 60,000 square feet of rainwater harvesting infrastructure, conserving approximately 2.5 million litres annually.
Plans are underway to achieve 100 percent wastewater recycling via Bio‑Sewage Treatment Plants, along with the deployment of air‑to‑water systems for future potable water needs. Energy sustainability is driven by a 950 kilowatt solar power plant serving commercial and retail areas, with an additional 500 kilowatt capacity planned; by March 2026 the solar infrastructure is expected to generate over 1.76 million units of clean energy annually, reducing carbon‑dioxide emissions by about 1,400 tonnes each year. Environmental stewardship is reinforced through the adaptive reuse of more than 150,000 square feet of existing structures, vertical gardens, micro‑climate zones, a campus‑wide no‑plastic policy, and a roadmap toward zero‑waste‑to‑landfill certification. Preserving embodied carbon in existing concrete and steel has saved nearly 10,000 tonnes of carbon‑dioxide, equivalent to the annual emissions of over 2,100 gasoline‑powered cars, while preventing more than 26,000 metric tonnes of construction waste from entering landfills.
Rajesh Damani, Founder and Managing Director, Jamshri Realty, said: “We began this journey of transformation in 2018 with a vision for a sustainable, community‑first city within a city. Today that vision has flourished into Jamshri City, which we see as the 15‑acre, 1.5 million sqft aspirational, family‑centric integrated township with its own lifestyle district. Such spaces bring metro‑city lifestyle options to emerging smart towns like Solapur. At Jamshri City, we want to demonstrate that sustainability can function as a core urban service, seamlessly integrated into everyday living. Through the CLaaS model, we have combined century‑old industrial heritage with advanced green technologies and circular systems to create a truly net‑positive ecosystem for residents.”
Building on the success of Jamshri City, Jamshri Realty plans to extend the CLaaS framework across its upcoming projects, reinforcing its commitment to scalable, sustainable, and future‑ready urban development.
