New York-based Humanscale, a leading ergonomic product manufacturer, aims to expand its Indian retail presence by partnering with local retailers to establish a presence in 50 multi-branded stores by mid-2026 according to a press release.
Humanscale will focus on Tier 1, 2, and 3 cities, targeting high-net-worth individuals, SMEs, and business owners seeking ergonomic solutions for home offices or personal spaces.
Currently, Humanscale’s Indian distribution partner, S Cube Ergonomics Pvt Ltd, operates exclusive showrooms and ergonomics experience centers in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Pune, with presence in 10+ multi-branded stores.
The company, with $12 million in Indian revenues for FY24, counts Visa, LinkedIn, and Microsoft among its high-profile clients.
“In India, we’re targeting 30% of sales from retail by FY27, up from 5% currently,” said Alastair Stubbs, Country Director India, Humanscale.
Sathish Nandagopal, Founder and Director, S Cube, emphasized the importance of local partnerships: “Establishing strong connections enhances our market presence and ensures ergonomic solutions reach the right audience.”
Stubbs added, “There’s a significant gap in the market for ergonomic workstations. Awareness and accessibility are limited. We anticipate strong demand from the retail segment as awareness grows.”
