One of India’s largest ACP (Aluminum Composite Panel) manufacturers in Asia, Viva ACP, recently unveiled its new 2-3mm ready-to-fix solid aluminium panels at FOAID (Festival of Architecture and Interior Design) 2024, Mumbai. Mayank Jain, Director, Viva Composite Panel, discussed the inspiration behind this innovative collection. He explained how they add value to the designing process and address the challenges in a conversation with Tejaswini Paranjape.
What inspired the manufacturing process of newly launched panels?
Our inspiration for manufacturing the newly launched aluminium composite panels stems from our decade-long presence in the industry. Since 2015, the industry has witnessed a steady 10-15% annual growth in the infrastructure sector. As a company, we’ve experienced a phenomenal 30% year-on-year growth, outpacing our competitors. Given the versatility of ACP sheets, which cater to residential, commercial, and signage applications, we’re driven to innovate and expand our product offerings, leading to the creation of this new collection.
How do Viva’s new panels enhance the designing process for interior designers and architects?
We are renowned for our exclusive shades and varieties, which are made possible by our significant investment in research and development. We stay ahead of the curve by embracing the latest technologies and market trends. Through collaborative discussions with architects, we gain valuable insights into their needs and preferences. This enables us to introduce new series and shades that cater to their demands. Our recent partnership with Aloxide, a global leader in anodizing technology has allowed us to offer an innovative range to the architects and interior designers to elevate their space with an anodized range that gives a subtle, rich look that is ideal for facades.
How do you address the current challenges faced by the Indian design industry in terms of installation?
To address post-installation challenges, we focus on innovation, introducing new series every three to four months. However, we’ve found that workmanship during installation can be a bottleneck. To mitigate this, we recommend certified installers and even provide on-site training to ensure seamless installation. Our in-house team of installers works closely with clients to address any concerns. We stand behind the quality of our products, offering warranties ranging from 10 years to lifetime. To maintain the appearance, we recommend cleaning every six months, with a mandatory annual cleaning to uphold the product’s aesthetic look and performance.
Could you elaborate on the primary application areas where Viva ACP’s products offer the most value?
The core utility of our products lies in their versatility and wide spectrum of application. Our ACP sheets are extensively used in commercial towers, residential buildings, signages, hospitality sector, bus body and government institutions.
What is your USP and future plan of expansion?
