THE Park Hyderabad and THE Park Chennai, part of Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels (ASPHL), have been awarded the ‘IGBC Green Building – Platinum Certificate’. This recognition acknowledges ASPHL’s commitment to environmental responsibility and sustainability.
ASPHL has implemented various sustainable practices, including the use of renewable energy sources, optimized energy usage, waste recycling, and water conservation measures. The company aims to adopt environmentally-friendly green technologies, utilizing renewable energy sources like wind power.
Key Sustainability Initiatives:
– Transitioned to 100% LED light fixtures and energy-efficient equipment
– Two hotels operating on 100% green energy, with all hotels to be energy-neutral by 2027
– Eliminated 19 lakh plastic units per annum, replacing plastic water bottles with glass ones
– Partnered with Tata Power to introduce EV infrastructure across hotels
