Swiss event construction firm NUSSLI has been awarded the contract to deliver the interior construction of the Brazilian pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka. The company will work with the NOE Group as the main contractor.
This marks the fifth national pavilion awarded to NUSSLI for the Osaka Expo, with the company also having contracts for Switzerland, Austria, Uzbekistan, and Kuwait. The Brazilian pavilion’s design is led by Brazilian film and theatre director Bia Lessa, featuring a “living laboratory” concept with inflatable installations and interactive exhibits.
The pavilion will explore themes of sustainability, social justice, and cultural diversity, structured across five acts. Visitors will be guided through a multisensory experience, wearing traditional “parangolés” (cloaks). NUSSLI will use sustainable materials, such as recycled plastic, for environmental reasons.
Stefan Sekiguchi, COO of Special Projects at NUSSLI, stated, “Working on a national pavilion is a great honour. When the concept is based on a Brazilian cultural legend, it’s a ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ opportunity.”
