Swedish interior design firm JOYN Studio has debuted its first U.S. project, Chez Fifi, an elevated French bistro located in an Upper East Side townhouse in Manhattan. The concept is the brainchild of brothers Joshua and David Foulquier, who drew inspiration from their French heritage to create a refined yet inviting space.
Inspired by 1930s Paris, Chez Fifi’s interiors evoke the warmth and elegance of early-20th-century Europe. The main dining room features rich mahogany paneling, deep blue hues, and plush banquettes, yielding an atmosphere of understated sophistication. A private dining room and second-floor salon, complete with a fireplace and vintage chandelier, offer exclusive settings that evoke the intimacy of a Parisian living room.
“Working with JOYN Studio allowed us to create something deeply meaningful and unique,” says Foulquier. “They didn’t just design a space; they created an experience. Chez Fifi captures the warmth of a Parisian bistro, enriched by JOYN’s attention to detail and Scandinavian aesthetic.”
