Hilton Vienna Waterfront has reopened its doors following a comprehensive renovation spearheaded by international interior design studio THDP. The refreshed design blends urban history, authentic Viennese lifestyle, and modern comfort, offering business travellers a unique destination.
The renovation features 340 meticulously designed rooms and suites, an expanded leisure and event space, and the new OXBO restaurant and bar. THDP drew inspiration from the Danube River and surrounding landscape, incorporating deep blue, rust orange, and brown tones. “Design in Vienna has a strong heritage… Vienna has a long tradition of venues with exceptional interior architecture,” noted Nicholas J Hickson, Co-Founder of THDP.
“The colours and textures were taken from life around the river, and from the historic elements of the building,” Hickson explained. The design seamlessly integrates industrial characteristics with sophisticated elements, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The hotel’s commitment to sustainability is also noteworthy, running on 100% renewable energy and incorporating energy-saving features.
“The design features a creamy, woody colour palette inspired by the nature of Donau-Auen National Park,” Hickson added. With its unique blend of style, comfort, and sustainability, Hilton Vienna Waterfront sets a new standard for business travel in Vienna.
