CP Kukreja Architects (CPKA) has strengthened its international presence with a growing portfolio of innovative and culturally significant projects. The firm has achieved a milestone by becoming the first Indian architectural practice to lead a 1 million sq. ft. mixed-use commercial development in Europe, located in Tirana, Albania.
This project will merge local cultural elements with cutting-edge sustainable design, marking a significant expansion of CPKA’s global influence. Previously, CPKA showcased India’s architectural excellence at Expo 2020 Dubai with the India Pavilion, highlighting the country’s evolving design narrative and cultural heritage.
CPKA has also earned global recognition for its work on diplomatic spaces, designing embassies and high commissions for countries such as Finland, Denmark, Canada, Austria, and China. Notable projects include the Finland Embassy in New Delhi and the Indian High Commission in Lagos.
The firm’s work underscores a broader trend in global architecture, where Indian design principles are gaining prominence. Traditional Indian elements, such as intricate carvings, courtyards, and sustainable building practices, are being incorporated into contemporary structures.
Dikshu Kukreja, Managing Principal of CPKA, stated that Indian architects are at the forefront of this cultural exchange, merging timeless motifs and materials with modern techniques to create spaces that resonate with both local and global audiences.
Notable projects like the Yashobhoomi convention center in Delhi and the Ekatmadham temple complex in Omkareshwar exemplify the integration of traditional Indian design elements with contemporary buildings. These sustainable strategies preserve India’s architectural heritage and contribute to global discussions on eco-conscious and energy-efficient architecture.
