The 24th International Architecture, Interior Design and Building Exhibition (Archidex 2025) will take place at two venues for the first time next year. The event will be hosted at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec) from July 21 to 24, and at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) from July 23 to 26.
Part of the Kuala Lumpur Architecture Festival (KLAF), the exhibition is being co-organized by the Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM) and C.I.S Network Sdn Bhd, and will coincide with KLAF’s inaugural Kuala Lumpur Architecture Week.
โThe 2025 edition of Archidex will be expanded to two venues spanning 34,000 sq m, a 25% increase compared to 2024,โ said C.I.S Network president Datuk Vincent Lim in his welcome address at the soft launch of Archidex 2025 held at MITEC. He added that Archidex 2024, which was held in July, generated RM1.15 billion in business transactions and attracted 40,336 visitors from 109 countries and regions.
โFor Archidex 2025, we are expecting 56,000 visitors and 850 exhibitors from over 110 countries,โ Lim said.
PAM president Adrianta Aziz, in his speech, said Archidex’s international recognition helps position Malaysia’s architecture industry globally. โThis international recognition opens doors for partnerships and knowledge exchange, enhancing our global reputation. Archidex is not just an exhibition; itโs a platform to push the boundaries of sustainable architecture and design.”
The Minister of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) Nga Kor Ming, who was officiating the event, said that his ministry will be providing a special allocation of RM30,000 to PAM in support of the inaugural KL Architecture Week.
Nga also said that KPKT’s first Asean Real Estate Summit will be held in conjunction with Archidex 2025. โWith this summit, we see great opportunities for the industry stakeholders, including architects, to penetrate into the robust Asean market which is projected to be the fourth largest economy in the world by 2030.” (Source: theedgemalaysia.com)
