Contemporary furniture brand Andreu World has launched its new showroom in Bangalore, India, following successful openings in Delhi and Pune. This marks a significant step in the brand’s international expansion, adding to its 30 permanent showrooms worldwide. The Bangalore showroom features designs by renowned international designers like Patricia Urquiola, Philippe Starck, and Benjamin Hubert.
At the launch event, Daniel Grinan, export manager, highlighted Andreu World’s commitment to sustainable furniture design solutions adhering to circular economy principles. He discussed the company’s 12 maxims of circular design, including “Use your company to change the world” (B Corp) and “Zero Waste.” A panel discussion followed, featuring prominent figures from Bengaluru’s design community, exploring topics like AI in design, sustainable design, and commercial trends.
Panelists, including Jaime Daza (Gensler Design) and Vikas Chawla (Adobe), emphasized AI’s potential to enhance efficiency and sustainability in design. Chawla stressed the importance of cultivating “human connections” within workplaces to boost productivity and well-being. Chinmayee Ananth (Adrianse Global) urged attendees to prioritize spaces designed for people, focusing on “customer delight” through green design.
