Alumil India, a subsidiary of Alumil Group, recently launched Loop 80, a certified aluminium product containing 80% recycled material, specifically designed for sustainable architecture applications. This innovative material supports environmentally responsible building practices, reducing CO2 emissions by 87% compared to primary aluminium production.
Loop 80 is suitable for architectural systems globally, including India, and supports projects seeking LEED and BREEAM certifications. By reusing existing aluminium and minimizing bauxite mining, Loop 80 conserves energy and raw materials.
“Our commitment to sustainability drives everything we do,” said Theodoros Axouristos, Managing Director, Alumil India. “With Loop 80, we’re pushing the boundaries of circular economy practices, reducing CO2 emissions, and minimizing environmental impact.”
Alumil India participates in the REcycling technologies for circular aluminium (REcAL) project, aiming to revolutionize aluminium recycling. The company prioritizes environmental responsibility and energy conservation.
“Aluminium recycling consumes only 5% of the energy required for primary production,” added Axouristos. “Loop 80 combines top quality with sustainability, and we remain dedicated to advancing the circular economy, conserving energy and protecting the environment.”
