SVAG Pet Homes LLP, a Hyderabad-based startup, has created a new segment of products with the introduction of ‘Barkitecture’ in India. This innovative concept involves designing spaces specifically for dogs, taking into account their unique needs and preferences.
According to Sushanth Kanneganti, Vishal Bothra, Founders, and Gopal Varma, Anudeep Y, Co-founders of SVAG Pet Homes, the COVID-19 pandemic led to a surge in pet adoption, particularly dogs. As a result, the concept of “pet parenting” emerged, with dog owners seeking designer homes and upgrades for their pets.
SVAG Pet Homes aims to transform traditional kennels into comfortable and stylish spaces for dogs. The company’s promoters believe that dogs deserve personalized spaces to rest, recharge, and feel safe. Their innovative pet homes, paw shelters, and paw sleeping spaces are thoughtfully designed with dog comfort in mind.
SVAG Pet Homes has a manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, producing a wide range of products for B2B and B2C markets. The company currently offers 25 SKUs and plans to introduce 50 more designs and patterns soon. As a bootstrapped company, SVAG Pet Homes has invested INR 1.8 crore and aims to sell 100,000 pieces of furniture within the next year.
The company has also launched the Barkkey Foundation, which promotes responsible pet parenting and improves the lives of dogs through innovative and compassionate initiatives. For every product sold, the company will support ten street dogs.
