Habitat for Humanity GB has officially launched its ReStore GB shop in Romford, east London. The charity shop sells building materials alongside used furniture and household items, making it a unique shopping experience.
ReStore GB is a home improvement retail store that aims to help vulnerable people in need of safe and decent housing. The store offers a wide range of items, including building materials, plumbing, and hardware.
The charity relies on donations from the public and partners in the business community, particularly the construction sector. These donations help reduce landfill and contribute to the circular economy by promoting the reuse and resale of items.
ReStore GB aims to divert at least 300 tonnes of materials from landfill annually. Every purchase contributes directly to supporting Habitat for Humanity’s work in building affordable housing.
