Cistermiser recently launched its latest brochure dedicated to education washroom solutions. The resource has been carefully designed to provide schools and educational facilities managers with a comprehensive guide to implementing advanced water-saving and hygiene technologies across their campuses.
โAs educational institutions continue to balance student health whilst striving to adopt best practice in order to achieve sustainability targets, the need for efficient water management and hygiene solutions has never been greater,โ said Richard Braid, Managing Director, Cistermiser.
โThis brochure serves as an essential tool for decision-makers, facilities managers and procurement teams in the education sector. Our product range is designed not only to enhance hygiene but also to contribute to sustainability goals. With the right water-saving solutions, schools, colleges and universities can make a significant impact on their environmental footprint. The adoption of these technologies will also support their broader objectives of reducing water and energy consumption,โ he added.
With large numbers of students and pupils using washroom facilities throughout the day, these environments can become hotspots for the spread of germs and pathogens if not properly managed. Implementing non-touch, sensor-activated solutions significantly reduce the risk of cross-contamination, ensuring a safer environment for all. Moreover, water conservation is becoming increasingly important in the face of climate change and resource scarcity. Schools, often with limited budgets, can benefit greatly from technologies that reduce water usage without compromising on performance.
The brochure looks at the wide range of Cistermiserโs products such as the Vecta+ Shower Panels, which are a pre-plumbed, surface-mounted solution that is ideal for both retrofits and new installations. The Vecta+ Sensor Shower Panel variant features non-touch sensor activation, promoting hygiene while significantly reducing water and energy consumption. Each unit is capable of saving up to 250,000 litres of water annually, has an attractive payback of as little as three months and for every 20 shower panels installed can offset an incredible one tonne of carbon annually.
Cistermisers Vecta+ Tap range are all sensor activated and are capable of saving up to 70% of water usage, ensuring that these taps are not only hygienic, but they also greatly reduce water usage within washrooms.
Cistermiserโs urinal flushing solutions are also designed to optimise water efficiency. The Infrared Control Valve (IRC) utilises motion-sensing technology to regulate the water supply to the urinal cisterns so water is only used when necessary. With these solutions, water consumption can be reduced by up to 80%, contributing to quicker payback periods and reduced operating costs.
For toilet flushing, the EasyflushEVO is a standout, award-winning must. The sensor-activated dual flush valve is uniquely designed without a flush seal below the waterline, which prevents leaks caused by debris or scale. This innovation can also save up to 146,000 litres of water per unit per year, with a payback period of just seven months. Easy to install in both retrofits and new constructions, the EasyflushEVO is an excellent choice for schools looking to significantly reduce their water usage in their washroom facilities.
Another intelligent solution from Cistermiser that addresses leak prevention is the Sensazone system. It uses non-invasive infrared motion sensors to control water flow to washrooms, ensuring that water is only supplied when the washroom is occupied. It is particularly beneficial for schools and universities where washrooms can remain unoccupied for long periods of time.
