Palet, a Dutch design brand, recently created a unique ceramic tile manufacturing system featuring a six-striped design that can be tailored to individual tastes in terms of colour and pattern.
Palet’s signature tiles have a glossy, glazed surface comprising six vertical stripes that can be specified in one of 25 patterns, from symmetrical stripes to more organic mottled and dappled patterns.
The tiles are two-toned, with users being able to choose two from a number of shades of each colour to create customised surfaces.
“Our design system is the heart of Palet and is powered by a glaze printer we developed in-house,” said Palet. “Through our design system, we can offer pretty much any colour imaginable which is far from the norm in the ceramics industry.”
Palet makes all tiles to order, starting at a minimum order of one square metre.
The tiles can be used for a range of purposes, from installation in domestic kitchens and bathrooms to covering walls and surfaces in retail spaces. They were even used to clad an installation at Paris Design Week 2024.
