Decorative lacquer products crafted by Vietnamese artisans are being featured at Maison & Objet, an international trade fair dedicated to home decor, interior design, architecture, and lifestyle culture. At this Paris event, Hanoia, a renowned Vietnamese haute lacquer house, is unveiling over 100 stunning lacquer pieces. The collection includes selections from past lines as well as new, previously unseen creations.
This marks the first time a Vietnamese brand has taken part in such a major international exhibition.
Maison & Objet 2024 runs from September 5 to 9 at the Villepinte Exposition Park in northern Paris.
Nguyễn Thị Nhung, co-founder, Hanoia, said that their participation in the fair serves a dual purpose- to solidify the brand’s position and to forge new partnerships.
“Hanoia distinguishes itself through a vibrant palette of colours, impeccable lacquer techniques and one-of-a-kind creative designs. With the thoughtfully curated products showcased in this fair, Hanoia aims to leave a lasting impression while exploring avenues for global expansion, bringing its exquisite offerings closer to discerning consumers worldwide,” she said.
In lacquer art, colour is the essence of the work, and Hanoia imbues each piece with a spectrum of warm hues and vibrant shades. Moving beyond the traditional reds, blacks, yellows, and whites, Hanoia embraces contemporary colors, bringing each artwork a new, invigorating energy.
But colour is just one aspect—intricate, hand-painted patterns are the hallmark of Hanoia’s craftsmanship. Skilled artisans view this as their ultimate challenge: carefully layering colors, allowing each layer to dry, and repeating the process until the full design emerges.
