The municipality of Kamenica has announced that it is one of the first municipalities in Kosovo that managed to participate in the final of the “World Architecture Festival 2024”, which will be held in Singapore.
Kamenica will compete with the kindergarten project, inspired by the drawings of elementary school students.
“We are proud to announce that our lobby project, inspired by the drawings of elementary school students, has been chosen as one of the finalist projects – at the World Architecture Festival 2024.”
“This project includes innovative elements such as solar panels, green roofs, bicycle parking spaces and bookshelves. Its structure imitates the natural tree and uses environment-friendly materials, creating sustainable and multifunctional urban spaces”, the announcement states.
Through a press release, it is said that this project has been chosen as one of the 8 best projects in the world, which is expected to compete in November of this year.
Chairman Rahimaj has said that this success has made the Festival recognize Kosovo as a state, because according to him, until now it had to be applied through Albania.
