Japanese diversified financial services group ORIX Corporation (TYO:8591) announced this week it has commenced the operation of a 6.5-MW geothermal power plant in Hokkaido. The Minami-Kayabe Geothermal Power Plant, as it is named, is located in Hakodate City and is said to be the largest binary cycle geothermal plant in the country.
