The 24th International Architecture, Interior Design and Building Exhibition (Archidex 2025) will take place at two venues for the first time next year. The event will be hosted at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec) from July 21 to 24, and at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) from July 23 to 26. BIG has designed its new headquarters, BIG HQ, on Copenhagen’s harbor in Denmark. The 4,488-square-meter building features a unique, seven-story design centered around a single column and a sprawling staircase. Completed in spring 2024, BIG HQ showcases the studio’s integrated LEAPP approach. The building incorporates geothermal and solar energy systems, achieving 60% renewable energy reliance. Its innovative Uni-Green concrete structure reduces CO2 emissions by 25%. The 12th European Prize for Urban Public Space has recognized two outstanding projects: “Park at the Warsaw Uprising Mound” in Poland and “Beach Improvement and Redevelopment of the Harbour Edge” in Porto do Son, Spain. The Western Australian Government has announced plans for the renovation of the Perth Concert Hall, a heritage-listed venue that has been a cornerstone of the cityโs cultural scene for 51 years. Nestled at the foot of Dameiyong Snow Mountain in Tibet, the Quzika 1865 Winery Complex seamlessly integrates into its surroundings. Designed by Chinese studio PL-T Architecture, the winery features stepped terraces that mirror the natural topography, preserving ancient trees and facilitating gravity-flow winemaking. The annual Golden Hammer awards, presented by Historic Richmond and Storefront for Community Design, recognized outstanding real estate projects in the region.
