Vertical gardens will be the highlight of the 8th edition of Ahmedabad flower show at Riverfront Park from January 16 to 22, 2019. Along with different varieties of flower beds, there will be more than 50 live sculptures of flowers like Orchid, English rose, Carnation and others. The structures include that of Vibrant Gujarat globe, sea plane, bullet train, Gandhiji, charkha and other animal and bird flower formations. The entrance gate of the show will be based on the theme of vertical garden. Around 10 types of vertical gardens will be developed on 10 vertical walls at the flower show. More than 20 varieties of foreign origin cactus and succulents will be displayed along with live demonstration of green house. Bijal Patel, Mayor said, “With increasing number of high-rise buildings, we have decided to give priority to vertical gardens this year.” Janmitra card holders will have an advantage as they will not have to stand in long queues to purchase tickets or stand in line at the entrance. Machines will be installed for Janmitra card holders to make e-payment.
