According to a report in oneindia, PM Narendra Modi on July 31, 2017 inaugurated the new Parliament House annexe extension, which will house rooms and offices of various parliamentary committees.
The building has committee rooms, an auditorium, a banquet hall and chambers for chairpersons of standing committees.
The new structure has two blocs spread over 39,495 sq. mt. The building was built with indigenous material by Indian labour, and the architecture of the building bears a close imprint of the Indian tradition. In the walls, the Constitution of India and also the state emblem of India have been designed.
