Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and dedicated development projects worth ₹26,000 crore in Bikaner, Rajasthan. The projects aim to improve infrastructure, agriculture, and employment in the region.
Infrastructure Development
The Prime Minister highlighted India’s rapid infrastructural progress, citing key projects like the Chenab Bridge and Sela Tunnel. He emphasized the role of infrastructure in boosting employment, tourism, and rural livelihoods. Over ₹70,000 crore has been invested in road infrastructure in Rajasthan over the past 11 years.
Railway Modernization
Modi noted the introduction of Vande Bharat, Amrit Bharat, and Namo Bharat trains, as well as the laying of over 34,000 kilometers of new railway tracks. More than 1,300 railway stations are being modernized under the Amrit Bharat scheme, showcasing local art and culture.
