
In the heart of the Luberon in Provence the Mathieu Lustrerie Atelier restores, replicates and creates exceptional chandeliers, while also showcasing a private collection of over 500 chandeliers dating back to the 14th century.
The twenty artisans working at the atelier are masters of traditional know-how and share the same passion for their art. They use the techniques and materials of jewelers to create all the chandeliers and custom make each one for every client.
Most chandeliers from historic homes and palaces are often incomplete and damaged. Mathieu Atelier has made itself known worldwide for the impeccable quality of restoration and reproduction of antique chandeliers in places like the Palace of Versailles, the Opera of Paris and Monaco, the Wallace Collection in London, and the soon to be completed Laksmi Vilas Palace of Baroda.
Mathieu took over the family business at the age of 19 he immediately expanded sales internationally and truly made his mark when he started designing his own collection.

The simple line of the ‘Saturn’ – presented at today’s event, make it a classic best seller, the Astrolabe’s cosmic presence is a sculptural delight and the latest creation the sea urchin, is crafted in gilt bronze and studded with 400 faceted semi-precious stone, through which the light is diffused.
