Valencia-based designer Inma Bermudez (who has collaborated with IKEA several times in the past) and veterinarian Barbara Schaefer, fostered this 62-piece collection, keeping in mind the different behaviour types and habits of the four-legged residents.
The Swedish furniture brand provides dogs with cushion beds that fold out to make room if they have friends over! These cushions fit snugly by bed/couch spaces. The shallow slow-feed bowl has been designed specifically for dogs to eat slowly, so they don’t gulp their meal within seconds.
Cats, meanwhile, can scratch away to glory on beautiful beige cat-scratching mats that can be wrapped around the legs of beds/couches/chairs/tables.
Cat homes and special cat nooks have been customised to fit into cabinets/book shelves without compromising the comfort of its pawed inhabitant.
IKEA-styled minimalist play tunnels, cat litter trays reflective leads and collars, travel baskets, brushes, toys, colourful poo bags, and bag dispensers are also part of the collection.
IKEA’s trademark Klippan sofa has been modified too, to fold out for pets that love curling up on the sofa with their owners.
