German luxury mattress brand, Thomsen has launched an exclusive brand mattress brand for India market under ‘Dormio’ branding to target the urban professionals who are sensitive about their sleep and health.
Dormio Mattress and pillows are made using Talalay Latex, which is the most technically advanced foam to be introduced in the Indian market. It is world’s most breathable comfort foam with temperature and moisture regulating properties.
After introducing the hi-end Thomsen mattress in the market couple of years ago, Dormio is another move by the company to target large base of urban professional middle class who are value conscious but at the same time sensitive to their health.
Speaking about Dormio, Nakul Gupta, Director, Thomsen Europe GmbH said that Dormio products are made with same high quality materials and with the same kind of craftmanship that Thomsen mattresses are made. He informed that Dormio is the result of market knowledge that they have gathered in the last two years. Indian customers use more firmer mattresses compared to Europeans. He said that the company would be imparting a lot of education to Indian customers about the right firmness through a ‘100-day trial’ offer.
The Dormio Range consists of Dormio Latex mattress and Memory Foam mattress that provides high quality support and comfort leading to undisturbed and optimal sleep.
The Ortho Pillows are made using unique “Vario” System so that users can adjust the height of the pillow as per their needs. The Dormio Normo pillows ensure that the neck and shoulders are relaxed and the cervical spine is kept straight even in the sideways sleeping position.
Gupta said that starting with Delhi NCR with an online-first approach, they will be targeting other metros in the country through the same distribution approach in future.
