INOX INSIGNIA, Nehru Place, Chromed Design Studio
Located at Epicuria- Nehru Place, the design of this INOX is circumscribed around the innovate Art Deco Movement infused with elegant styling and opulent elements. Being the first standalone theatre commissioned by the brand, it represents an explicit statement through its sophistication of design and flamboyant symbolism.
The portrayal of the Art Deco concept has been subtly utilised by simple & clean shapes, streamlined looks and geometric ornamentation. The ideology has been further amplified by subtle appreciation of the modernity of machine and machine-made objects by allowing the product to represent symmetry. In a nutshell, it can be described as a project showcasing ‘a contemporary take on traditional principles’.
The entrance to the entertainment hub is marked by open aired seating in the milieu of an iconic Bollywood wall featuring a mural of super star Amitabh Bachchan. This curation aids to attract the young ‘selfie’ crowd for a quick shot. With simple and chic furniture pieces, wooden table tops and a kadappa stone flooring, this space provides the most inviting aura one can ever imagine. Touched with snippets of green plants, exquisitely complemented in the soft furnishings as well, the entrance is a sure hit even before one gets the imminent glimpses.
Delving further, the movie buffs are greeted with a fascinating double heighted lobby with a plush colour palette of black and white & the occasional addition of bronze in the glistening brand logo. The scheme has been achieved by the usage of classic Belgian black marble and brown satvario walls. This arena also houses a unique waiting area with contemporary amoeba shaped lighting fixtures that make it a space worth spending moments in. The way to the auditoriums is ornamented with black bevelled mirrors that reflect the lights to create a bewildering show of rays. A white onyx counter top, art deco framed artwork over the concessionaire topped with ambient lighting enhances entire design set-up of the lobby. The washrooms are also done in an identical theme of black and white as observed in lobby.
The three auditoriums possess carpeted floors as per their intrinsic design scheme with LED Lights that can be regulated, as per the requirement, to keep the ambience intact along with providing the patrons with an indelible movie experience. It also houses the signature leather INSIGNIA Recliners to enhance the worthwhile experience.
INOX Nehru Place impeccably combines two contrasting contemporary design schemes, that is an Art Deco style and a up-beat entertainment centre, to deliver a singular journey etched in palatial gold.
