CIDCO Board discussed the funding contribution to the total cost for the Kalyan-Taloja Metro line being constructed by MMRDA and decided to share for the Equity of the project to the extent of alignment falling within jurisdiction of Navi Mumbai & NAINA. The in principle approval for the same was passed in the CIDCO’s Board of Directors meeting held on Feb 18, 2019. MMRDA is working on the Metro Line-5 (Thane-Bhiwandi-Kalyan) which is to be extended up to Taloja, Navi Mumbai for a further connectivity to Navi Mumbai International Airport. In order to get approval for the project from Government of Maharashtra and as some areas of the alignment passes through CIDCO jurisdiction; MMRDA had carried out a DPR study through Delhi Metro Rail Corporation & requested CIDCO for funding contribution to this Metro Project which will run through NAINA and CIDCO areas.
