Bangalore-based start-up Homergize, a sourcing, and services company that caters to the needs of the construction and remodelling industry, is expanding its operations to Hyderabad.

Having established its presence in Bangalore, Homergize is aggressively planning to expand its footprints across India with the launch of Hyderabad operations.

Founded by serial entrepreneur and industry veteran Vinod Kaushik, Homergize is an E-marketplace that promotes efficiency and enhances value in construction, interior design, and home-improvement domains. As an intermediary between buyers and vendors for a wide spectrum of products ranging from building materials, electrical, flooring, plumbing, safety and security to furnishings and fittings, Homergize is able to offer class-leading pricing and service. The start-up brings professionals like architects, interior designers, landscape architects and contractors onto a single platform to cater to construction and remodelling needs of customers and businesses.

“We are excited to be in Hyderabad with our product and service offerings and look forward to augmenting the construction and remodelling industry here. We believe, that the ecosystem we have created, will add value to all stakeholders including home-owners, developers, designers and professionals,” said Kaushik.

The company has recently bagged INR 6.5 crore in pre-series A round of funding from LG Chandrasekhar – investor, social entrepreneur and Founder of Sutures India. While the funding will be utilized to further strengthen its technology capabilities, plans are afoot to expand its presence in major cities across India.

Homergize’s expansion plans are based on an increased geographical footprint, and on targeting a wider spectrum of Builders, Architects and Contractors, among others. Alongside the website, a mobile app is being developed for easing the purchase process and to provide on-the-tap transaction records and analytics to clients. Also on the anvil are user-friendly tools for estimation and BOQ conversion.
