Union Minister Nitin Gadkari inaugurated and laid foundation stones for national highway projects worth 9,533 crore INR at separate events in Roing and Ziro in Arunachal Pradesh last Thursday. Complementing the agencies involved for timely completion of projects despite obstacles, Gadkari said these projects would ensure 24X7 connectivity between places and save travel time between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh. The road network in Arunachal Pradesh had increased from 1,804 km to 2,885 km in the last four years, and 28,000 crore INR was being spent on construction of highways in the state, he said.
